AZZ quality and production capabilities return grounded aircraft to the air
When commercial aircraft were grounded by the FAA for corrosion of seat components, the supplier of the defective parts faced the challenge of replacing them very quickly to return the aircraft to service.
The supplier set out to find a vendor with a high-quality, durable coating that could deliver high-volume in a very quick time frame. All of these requirements lead the supplier to AZZ. The supplier dropped off the parts on a Friday afternoon and the AZZ team worked 36 straight hours over a holiday weekend to deliver the replacement parts by Monday morning.

As a result of meeting all of the challenges, AZZ was chosen as the sole provider of coating services for the aircraft components. Since accepting that responsibility, AZZ has successfully delivered hundreds of thousands of parts on time and continues this service today.
