Dairy

The dairy used hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) for their new facility. They needed the most durable, cost effective and low maintenance corrosion protection offered. The dairy has the capacity to milk 6,000 cows per day and produce 25,000 gallons of milk.

Date galvanized: 2010

USDA regulations mandate that no corrosion exist anywhere at a dairy. The stalls, gates and even the barn itself used tubular steel providing no opportunity for birds to intrude or dust to settle. Milk itself is the primary product of the dairy, but all bi-products from the daily wash down are fully contained and recycled—making the facility a sustainable business of the future.  HDG helps make it all possible.
